French Kitchen Decor
Once the
french kitchen is in post production, the floors have been laid, the walls are painted, the high beams are in place, and the furniture is situated, it is time to think about adding the finishing touches:
The french kitchen decor. Just as there are many different styles of french kitchens, there are even more different options for french kitchen decor.
Simple and traditional french kitchens may not have as much of the french kitchen decor compared to more modernized and american style french kitchens. French kitchen decor may even include such items as rolling pin which is always left out on the french kitchen island. Or it may even include old style paintings which are framed by handmade frames that you put together yourself.
Chests are another type of french kitchen decor which could also be considered
French country furniture. These chests could be displayed closed or they could also be left open. Fill the chest with
french country cookbooks or even country
french hand towels - or even fill the french country chest with loads of fresh fruit and vegetables. These chests come in many different shapes and sizes and all sorts of price ranges.
French country dinnerware such as pewter dishware can also be considered french kitchen decor, depending on how it is used. Especially if you display the french country dinnerware in cabinets which are open faced. Sometimes the dinnerware can be left in organized piles on the counter. This can add to the rustic care free touches of more authentic french kitchen decor. Pots and pans above the island is also another nice touch of french country decor. these can also be displayed underneath the island to add to the french kitchen decor, if your island is open faced.
Dried flowers, especially
lavender, can be another fantasic touch to your french kitchen decor. Place the flowers in an antique glass vase and place them in the small single pane window above the kitchen sink. Hanging dried flowers upside down can be nother nice finishing touch to your french kitchen decor.
French country wine racks, which could also be considered furniture, can be a nice touch to your french kitchen decor. Depending on the style of kitchen, you could go with a simple weathered wooden french country wine rack. Or maybe you prefer a wrought iron wine rack instead. Maybe even go as far as purchasing a wine cabinet or just a wicker basket for your wine.
